Message from Athletic Director

Tatnall Athletics

This website is a highly effective tool for managing game schedules, rosters, and results. It connects seamlessly with all DIAA schools, allowing updates and changes to be made in real time between institutions.

At Tatnall, we believe that participation in athletics is one of the best ways to teach life-long values and character. Team sports offer students the opportunity to develop accountability, resilience, and leadership—skills that go far beyond the playing field. While final scores may fade with time, the lessons learned, the sacrifices made, and the memories created with teammates stay with our students long after graduation. We see this every year when alumni return and reconnect through stories of teamwork and shared achievement.

Our close-knit school environment gives students the chance to contribute meaningfully to their teams, often stepping into key roles and developing into leaders by senior year. More importantly, Tatnall athletes learn the value of supporting one another and putting the team before themselves—lessons that are reinforced daily in our athletic program.

Go Hornets.

11/9/2024

2024 Girl and Boys Cross Country STATE CHAMPIONS!

The Tatnall boys and girls are bringing the DIAA D2 State Championship trophies back home to Barley Mill Road! This marked the fifth consecutive cross country state title for the boys and the second consecutive for the girls.  Our boys scored 43 points with three in the top ten, led by Ben Pizarro’s first-place finish. His time of 15:27 is #2 all-time at Killens Pond State Park Cross Country Course.

The girls placed four in the top five, good for 32 total points. Katie Payne ran away with the win in a time of 17:37, #4 all-time at Killens Pond State Park Cross Country Course.

In addition, these two team state titles marks the 60th team state title for XC, Winter Track, and Spring Track at Tatnall since 2003!
Congratulations, Hornets! We are so proud of you! ?? \T/
